SATURDAY 29 and SUNDAY 30 MARCH 2025
Meeting Point
Avenue Paul Hymans 2-2a, 1200 Woluwé-Saint-Lambert
Built on the Tomberg plateau, the town hall is an unmissable meeting place for all Woluwe St. Lambert's inhabitants. Designed by architect Joseph Diongre and inaugurated in 1939, this Modernist building combines small granite and yellow brick from Boom. It has a 30-metre-high polygonal belfry tower, and the interior spaces are arranged around the concourse with its hushed and monumental atmosphere. As soon as you enter the building there is an overall view of the counter with its windows, as well as of the upper floor thanks to the passageway that encircles the rotunda, all naturally lit by the openwork dome. Some areas are parquet floored and panelled with exotic woods and the stairwells are adorned with marble from Belgian quarries. In line with its function, the building welcomes numerous citizens on a daily basis as they come to obtain documents and information.
