Meeting Point
The Roosenboom House was commissioned by the industrialist Louis Beeckman from the architect Albert Roosenboom and was completed in 1900. The top floor of the façade features a sgraffiti panel by the painter and designer Privat Livemont. The rest of the façade is decorated with wrought ironwork whose design continues into the boot-scraper and the letter box. The first floor of the façade is dominated by a magnificent, curved bow-window. Currently undergoing extensive restoration, this Art Nouveau building's original layout has been restored, including access to a garage in the cellar, specially requested by the client. The original interior decorative scheme, colours and wallpaper are due to be restored in the next few months.
